Media Arts Film Festival May 13 at WCSU


the Western Connecticut State University The Media Arts Film Festival returns to the WCSU Midtown campus on Friday May 13. For its eighth year, the festival presents the best works by students from media production, Digital and interactive media and Art programs at WCSU.

The May 13 event takes place at the Student Center on the Midtown Campus, 181 White St. in Danbury. The evening will begin with a 6 p.m. reception in the student center lobby, an interactive digital arts exhibit at 7 p.m. in room 202, and an 8 p.m. film screening and awards ceremony in the student center theater . The festival is free and open to the public; Evening dress is suggested, but not required. There will be refreshments and a cash bar during the reception.

Sponsored by the BEA student club, WCSU Alumni Associationthe Department of Communication and Media Arts and the Art departmentthe event will culminate with prizes for the best films, videos, animations, scripts, soundscapes, 360 video and interactive media.
