Galen’s Provost, Dr Eve Aird, said: “Galen University welcomes the partnership as an opportunity for us to expand our global reach, continue our mission to develop and deliver relevant, innovative and transformational programs, and to collect and safeguard our cultural heritage through the programs and services of the Institute. Our partnership with OBFC will allow us to serve our many stakeholders in new and meaningful ways. ”

“This first concrete step builds on the longstanding activities of the Belize Cinematography Commissioner’s Office and is part of our long-term plan to develop Belize’s film industry,” said Miguel.

“The momentum is building, our behind-the-scenes efforts are starting to bear fruit, and 2021 will see major milestones achieved in building the film industry in Belize,” he added.

OBFC aims to attract films and international investors to Belize while encouraging and supporting the development of the local film industry.
