Academy of Media Arts High School partners with Sony Music Group to support the health and wellness of its academics in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – The Academy of Media Arts High School (AMA HS) is proud to announce a partnership with Sony Music Group designed to support the unique project-based learning and career program of the school and its academics.

In collaboration with Sony Music Group, AMA HS will provide health and wellness resources to its academics to meet their social and emotional needs during this difficult time with individualized educational plans. WADA’s Health and Wellness Center focuses on the emotional intelligence and executive functioning skills of academics, as well as the provision of counseling, peer counseling, fitness, mindfulness activities, nutrition and restorative justice practices.

AMA’s mindfulness activities include daily recitation of leadership skills, breathing exercises, circuit training, and meditation. AMA’s HWC project-based interdisciplinary learning units allow researchers to create health and wellness plans for community members that serve to reduce blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

“The Sony Music Group Social Justice Fund is truly inspiring, and we sincerely appreciate their valuable partnership,” said Dana Hammond, Executive Director of the Academy of Media Arts High School.
